மகாபாரதம் பேசுகிறது – சோ

போன புத்தகக்கண்காட்சியில் திரு. சோ அவர்கள் எழுதிய மகாபாரதம் பேசுகிறது புத்தகத்தை வாங்கி வைத்திருந்தேன். இப்போது தான் படிக்க ஆரம்பித்துள்ளேன். மகாபாரதத்தில் நிறைய சுவாரசியமான விஷயங்கள் சொல்லப்படுகின்றன.

எனது சிறு வயதில் டிடியில் மகாபாரதம் தொடரை ஒளிபரப்புவார்கள். அப்பொழுது அது வெறுக்கத்தக்க விஷயமாக இருக்கும். ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகளில் எங்கள் வீட்டுப் பெரியோர்கள் அந்த ஒரு மணிநேர தொடரை பார்த்து விட்டு, அவர்களின் நண்பர்களுடன் அதைப் பற்றி விவாதங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதைக் கண்டுள்ளேன். அப்பொழுது மகாபாரதம் என்ன அவ்வளவு சுவாரசியமானதா என்று எண்ணம் தோன்றும். ராமாயணத்தைப் போல் இல்லாமல் இதில் நிறைய சிறு கதைகளும் நிறைய வித்தியாசமான கதாபாத்திரங்களும் இருக்கின்றன.

சோ அவர்கள் கதை சொல்லும் விதம் ஒரு ஃபிக்ஸன் கதையைப் படிப்பது போன்ற உணர்வை ஏற்ப்படுத்துகிறது. நிறைய சிறுசிறு விஷயங்கள் சொல்லப்படுகின்றன. நேற்று படித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது அறிந்து கொண்டது, ஒருவன் தனது 14-வது வயது வரை செய்யும் பாவங்கள் அவனைச்சேராது என்பது. இது இப்போதுள்ள நடைமுறைக்கு ஒத்து வருமா என்று தெரியவில்லை.

இந்த மாதிரி சிறு விஷயங்களைத்திரட்டி சீக்கிரம் ஒரு பதிவாக இட முயல்கிறேன்.

தலை மேலே அம்மாவின் ஸ்பரிசம்
திரும்பி பார்த்தால் காற்றுதான் முறைக்கும்
மூச்சை முட்டும் அளவு நினைவுகளின் கூட்டம்
ஆனால் கண்களில் மட்டும் கண்ணீர், துடைக்காமல் இருக்கும்
இதன் பெயர் தான் தனிமை

அழ வேண்டும் என்று இனம் புரியா ஆவல்
காரணம் இல்லாததால் அது மனதினுள் காவல்
அயல்நாட்டில் அடைந்திருக்கும் இளைஞர்களின் நிலைமை
தமிழ் என்ற தோழி மட்டும் துணையிருக்கும் கொடுமை

When i was looking for a method to use my mobile as a Wi-fi for connecting internet, i found this and i like to share it.

Tethering

Tethering is the use of a mobile device with Internet access such as 3G or 4G cellular service to serve as an Internet gateway or access point for other devices. Other devices may connect to the gateway via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or by Universal Serial Bus (USB) cabling.

Tethering uses mobile applications or software depending on the mobile's operating system. A popular application is Joikuspot that works on Nokia, Samsung (Symbian) and Windows Mobile phones.

There are advantages and disadvantages to tethering.

Data transfers over tethered mobile phones may violate the terms of use imposed by the mobile carrier or may even be subject to high fees.

SETC vs KSRTC

சமீபத்தில் தினமலர் நாளிதழில் தமிழ்நாட்டின் விரைவு போக்குவரத்துகழக பேருந்துகளின் மோசமான நிலையினைப்பற்றி ஒரு கட்டுரை படிக்க நேர்ந்தது. அது 100% முற்றிலும் உண்மை. பேருந்துகளை வாங்கி விட்டால் மட்டும் போதாது, அதை நன்கு பராமரிக்கவும் வேண்டும். அதில் முற்றிலும் செய்வதில்லை விரைவு போக்குவரத்து ஊழியர்கள். சிலர் நாம் கொடுக்கும் குறைந்த கட்டணத்தால்தான் பேருந்தை சரியாக பராமரிப்பதில்லை என்று சொல்ல நேரிடும். ஆனால் அது முற்றிலும் தவறான சப்பைக்கட்டு என்பது கர்நாடகா மாநில அரசு போக்குவரத்தான KSRTC-யை உபயோகப்படுத்தினால் கண்கூடாகத் தெரிய வரும்.

கடந்த நான்கு மாதங்களில் சொந்த ஊருக்குச் செல்ல இந்த பேருந்தைத்தான் உபயோகப்படுத்துகிறேன். பெங்களூரில் இருந்து மதுரைக்கு செல்ல ரூபாய் 310 கட்டணமாக வசூலிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த கட்டணம் நம் தமிழ்நாட்டின் விரைவு பேருந்தை விட சற்று அதிகம் தான். ஆனால் இதில் அவர்கள் அளிக்கும் வசதிகளில் சில,

* மிக முக்கியமானதாக எல்லோரும் நினைக்கும் நேரம் தவறாமை.
* வயிற்றைப் பதம் பார்க்காத, அதிகப்படியான விலையில்லாத நல்ல உணவகங்களில் நிறுத்துவது.
* அமர்ந்து செல்லும் இருக்கைகள் நல்ல விதமாய் பராமரிப்பது.
* பேருந்து உள்ளே நன்றாக பராமரித்து வைப்பது (தனியார் பேருந்துகளுக்கு சற்றும் சளைக்காத வகையில்).
* கணினி வழியில் டிக்கெட் எடுக்கும் வசதி (www.ksrtc.in)
* பெங்களூர்-ல் உள்ள அனைத்து ஏரியாவிலும் ஏஜெண்டுகள் மூலம் டிக்கெட் எடுக்கும் வசதி
* எல்லாவற்றையும் விட மிக முக்கியமானது, பயணம் செய்யும் எல்லாருக்கும் விபத்துக் காப்பீடு வைத்திருப்பது. இது கட்டணத்தில் அடங்கும்.

இங்கே குறிப்பிட்டவற்றில் ஒன்று கூட தமிழ்நாடு விரைவு போக்குவரத்து கழகத்தின் நடைமுறையில் இருந்ததாக எனக்கு தெரியவில்லை.

நான்கு மாத அனுபவத்தில் என்னால் ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வர முடியாமல் கடந்த மூன்று வருடங்களாக இந்த பேருந்தை உபயோகப்படுத்தும் நண்பரிடமும் விசாரித்து இந்த கட்டுரையை எழுதியுள்ளேன்.

டிஸ்கி:

இதன் மூலம், நான் தமிழ் நாட்டின் எதிர்பாளன் என்று யாரும் நினைத்தால் அதற்கு நான் பொறுப்பில்லப்பா !!! கொடுக்கும் காசுக்கு தரமான பொருள் கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கு ஒரு சாதாரண இந்தியன்.

சுஜாதாவின் கொலையுதிர் காலம்

பெட்டிகளில் முடங்கி கிடந்த சுஜாதா-வையும் சேத்தன் பகத்தையும் வெளியில் எடுத்தாகி விட்டது. சென்ற புத்தகக் கண்காட்சியில் வாங்கிய சில புத்தகங்கள் இன்னும் படிக்காமல் பணியிடம் மாற்றத்தினால் பெட்டிகளிலேயே முடங்கிக் கிடந்தன. அதை சென்ற வாரம் வெளியில் எடுத்துப் படிக்கத் தொடங்கினேன். முதலில் எடுத்த புத்தகம் “கொலையுதிர் காலம்”, சுஜாதா என்பதுகளில் எழுதி விற்பனையில் சக்கை போடு போட்ட நாவல் என்று கேள்விப்பட்டு அதன் புதிய பதிப்பை வாங்கியிருந்தேன். சுஜாதாவின் ஆஸ்தான கதாபாத்திரங்களாகிய கணேஷ், வசந்த் இதிலும் இருந்தனர். கதை ஆரம்பமான சில அதியாயங்களிலேயே வேகம் எடுக்க ஆரம்பிக்கிறது. இறுதி வரை விஞ்ஞானமும், பைசாசமும் சம பலத்தில் பயணித்தது மிகவும் நன்றாய் இருந்தது. கிரைம் கதைகளை விரும்பிப் படிக்கும் நண்பர்களுக்குக் கண்டிப்பாகப் பிடிக்கும்.

என் பார்வையில்…

தற்பொழுது படங்களை அதிகமாக பார்க்க முடிவதில்லை. புதிதாக வந்த படங்களில், சில நாட்களாக பார்க்க நினைத்த மெதராஸப்பட்டினம் படத்தை கடந்த ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பார்க்க முடிந்தது. இந்த படத்தில் என் மனதைத் தொட்ட மூன்று விஷயங்கள், எமி, ஆர்யா மற்றும் மெதராஸப்பட்டினம் சென்ரல் ஸ்டேசன்.

எமி & ஆர்யா நடிப்பு வெகு இயல்பாக இருந்தது. சென்ரல் ஸ்டேசன் இப்படி இருந்ததா என்று ஆச்சர்ய படும் அளவுக்கு அது ஒரு கதாபாத்திரமாகவே படம் முழுக்க வந்தது. சென்னையும், கூவமும் எந்த அளவுக்கு பாழ்பட்டு போயிருக்கிறது என்பதை இந்த படத்தை பார்த்து தெரிந்து விடுகிறது.

படத்தில் இருக்கும் காட்சிகள் லகான், டைட்டானிக் படங்களை ஞாபகப்படுத்தினாலும், படம் அலுக்காமல் செல்கிறது. G.V இசையில் பூக்கள் பூக்கும் தருணம் பாடல் படம் முடிந்த பிறகும் காதுகளில் ரீங்காரமிடுகிறது. நிச்சயம் பார்க்க வேண்டிய படம் புதிதான பழைய சென்னைக்காக...

சமையல் கலை

சென்னையில் இருந்த பொழுது மூன்று வேளையும் ஹோட்டல்களில் சாப்பிட நேர்ந்தது. பெங்களுரூக்கு இடமாறியது சமைத்து சாப்பிட வேண்டும் என்ற ஒரு தீர்க்கமான முடிவுடன் இருந்தேன். புதிதாக வீடு பிடித்து அதில் சமையல் செய்ய வேண்டிய உபகரணங்களை (கேஸ் அடுப்பு, சிலிண்டர், அது இது...) வாங்கி அடுக்குவதர்குள் பிரம்ம பிரயத்தனப்பட வேண்டியிருந்தது. பொருள்களைக்கூட வாங்கி விடலாம் போல, சமைப்பதும், சமைத்ததை கழுவி வைப்பதும் பெரும்பாடு. அது பழகுவதற்குத்தான் சில நாட்கள் பிடித்தது.

எல்லாம் சரியாகி கடந்த ஒரு மாதமாய் இரவு ஒரு வேளையும், வார இருதியில் மூன்று வேளையும் சமைக்கும் அளவுக்கு முன்னேறி விட்டோம். இதற்கிடையில் கல்லூரி நண்பரின் ஃபேமலியை ஒரு நாள் விருந்துக்கு அழைத்து அசத்தியது எவரஸ்ட் (ஒரு எஃபெக்ட்க்குத்தான்) ஏறி சாதித்த மகிழ்ச்சியை அளித்தது. மேலும் சில நாட்கள், கல்லூரி நண்பர்களை அழைத்து எல்லாரும் ஆளுக்கு ஒரு வேலையை செய்து விருந்து சாப்பாடு சாப்பிட்ட மகிழ்ச்சி அளவிலடங்காது.

சென்னையில் இருக்கும் பொழுது அலுவலகம் முடித்து வந்து அரட்டை அடித்து, ஃபாஸ்ட் புட் கடைகளிலும், அருகில் இருந்த சண்முகாஸ்-லும் சென்று சாப்பிட்டு தூங்குவது ஒரு வகை என்றால், பெங்களூரில் காலையில் (சில நாட்களில்...) எழுந்து சமைத்து, அலுவலகம் சென்று விட்டு வந்து, இரவு உணவையும் நாமும் நண்பர்களுடன் சேர்த்து சமைத்து, சாப்பிட்டு தூங்குவது இன்னொரு வகை. இரண்டு வகைகளும் சுவாரசியங்கள் அதிகமாக நிறைந்து இருக்கின்றன. நன்றாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

Lakshmi Narasimma Temple, Bannerghatta, Bangalore

Last weekend we went to Lakshmi Narasimma perumal temple in Bannerghatta, Bangalore. It is around 12 Kms from Jeyadeva Hospital stop. We went there early morning at 6.30am. There are two temples in that area, one is in hillside and other is in hilltop. It is a old temple with huge Gopuram. One which is in hilltop seems to be recently built.

We went there by two wheeler so that we could feel the breeze of the early morning. When we reached there it was very calm and quiet inside the temple. Morning poojas were started at that time and we had a good darshan. After that we reach hilltop temple. The steps were some what sloppy due to the drizzling. Environment around that area was much pleasing and calm. Since Bannerghatta National park is very near to that place, we could see full of greenish area from the hilltop. We spent some time at the hill top and enjoy the drizzling.

It is a good place to go. Since Bannerghatta National park is nearby to this place, we could enjoy the safari drive there. Check out the photos of the temple...

என் பார்வையில்...

அலுவலக பணி காரணமா கொஞ்ச நாளா இந்த பக்கம் வர முடியல (அட உண்மைதாங்கப்பா). நடுவுல கிடைச்ச ஓய்வு நேரத்துல ஆண்டவன் அருளால(என்ன பண்றது நெலம அப்படி) சில நல்ல படங்கள பார்த்தேன். அத பத்தித்தான் இந்த பதிவு.

களவானி

பசங்க விமல் நடிச்சதால படத்த பாக்கணும்னு முன்னாலேயே முடிவு பண்ணியாச்சு. இந்த படதுலயும் நம்ம மீனாட்சி அசத்திட்டாரு. நடிப்பு ரொம்ப இயல்பா இருந்துச்சு. புதுப்பொண்ணு ஓவியா ரொம்ப அழகு. அந்த வில்லன் யாருன்னு தெரியல, ஆனா சூப்பர். ஆவணி முடிஞ்சா என் பையன் டாப்பா வருவான்னு சொல்றத அம்மாவா வந்த சரண்யா டாப்பா பண்ணிருந்தாங்க. மொத்ததுல வெட்டு, குத்து, ரத்தம் இல்லாம ஒரு கிராமத்துக் கதை. இரண்டறை மணி நேரம் நம்மல உக்கார வச்சிடுராங்க.

Inception

பயபுள்ளைக எப்படித்தான் இப்படி யோசிக்கிறாங்கன்னு தெரியல. கனவுல புகுந்து நம்ம கிட்ட இருக்குற எண்ணங்களை மாத்துறத பத்திதான் கதையாம். நமக்கு தெரிஞ்ச ஒரே மூஞ்சியே டைட்டானிக் லியானர்டோதான். படம் ரொம்ப நல்லா இருந்துச்சு. கிராபிக்ஸ்- சொல்ல தேவையேயில்லை, அசத்திட்டாங்க. அதுவும் அந்த நகரமெல்லாம் மடங்குறாப்புல ஒரு சீன்ல அவ்வளவு பெர்பெக்ஸன். கனவுகளையும், அதுல ஏற்படும் லாஜிக்குகளையும் விவரிக்கும் போது சூப்பர். படத்த கண்டிப்பா தீயேட்டர்லதான் பாக்கணும்.

இந்த படத்தை நேத்துதான் பார்த்தேன். Attitude-ங்குறது எந்த அளவுக்க்கு முக்கியம்னு ஒரு சில சீன்களில் அழகாக விவரிச்சிருக்காங்க. ஜேடன் சிமித், அவன் சொந்த நாட்டுக்கு போகனும்னு அழும் போது ரொம்ப இயல்பு, ஜாக்கி சானிடம் martial arts கற்றுக்கும் போது அதிரடி. ஜாக்கிசானுக்கு ஒரே ஒரு சண்டை சீன் தான், ஏன்னா இதுல ஜேடன் தான் ஹீரோ. நிச்சயமா இந்த படத்தைப் பார்க்கலாம்.

ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை... மகதீரா....

கடந்த ஞாயிறு அன்று என்ன செய்வது என்று தெரியாமல், நண்பர்களிடம் இருந்து வாங்கி வந்த CD-களில் இருந்த மகதீரா என்ற தெலுங்கு படத்தை பார்க்க ஆரம்பித்தேன். அதுல எந்த தமிழ் படமும் இல்லை, ஆங்கிலத்தில் பார்த்த படமே இருந்ததால் கேபிளார் நல்ல review comments கொடுத்த இந்த படத்தை பார்த்தேன்.

தெலுங்குனாலே மசாலா படம்தான் எடுப்பாங்கன்னு நெனச்சிருந்தேன். இந்த படமும் மசாலா படம்தான். ஆனால் மனமிக்க மசாலா. அதுலயும் graphics-ல மெரட்டிருந்தாங்க. ஒரிஜினல் சிடிங்கறதால சவுண்டும், படமும் மிகவும் நன்றாக இருந்தது. இந்த படத்தை தியேட்டர்ல பாக்கம தவற விட்டோமேன்னு நெனச்சு வருத்தப்பட்டேன்.

படத்துல முக்கியமா இரண்டாவது பாதியில வர அந்த நானூறு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முந்திய கதை பகுதி மிக நேர்த்தியா கிராபிக்ஸ் பண்ணிருக்காங்க. காஜல் அகர்வாலை அவ்வளவு அழகாக காட்டி இருந்தாங்க. கிராபிக்ஸில் நிறைய மெனக்கெட்டிருந்தாங்க.

ஹீரோ, நூறு பேருடன் சண்டை செய்யும் போர்சன் மிக அருமை. இந்த படத்தை ஏன் தமிழை டப் பண்ணாம விட்டாங்கன்னு தெரியல. அல்லது தமிழ் உரிமையை யாராவது வாங்கிருக்காலாம். இதை தமிழில் ரீமேக்குகிறேன் என்று கெடுக்காமல் இருந்தால் சரி.

நண்பரின் கவிதை...

பணி நிமித்தமாக சென்னையில் இருந்து பெங்களூர் மாறியதும், எனக்கு அடைக்கலம் கொடுத்தது இங்கு இருக்கும் என் பள்ளி நண்பர். சென்ற வாரம் நாங்கள் புது வீடு மாறினோம். வீட்டை மாற்றும் போது கிடைத்த ஒரு  நோட்புக்கில் எழுதியிருந்த சிறிய கவிதை.

போகும் வழி எல்லாம் பூவாய் மாற்றினாய்,
என் நெஞ்சிலோ முள்ளாய் குத்தினாய்,
முள் குத்தி குருதி வரவில்லை,
என் நெஞ்சில் காதல் வந்தது.

இந்த கவிதை என் நண்பர் ஒருவர் எழுதியதே. இந்த மாதிரி பழைய நினைவுப் புதையல்கள் நிறைய இருந்தன. எதுவும் சுவாரசியமாக இருந்தால் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறேன்.

5S - ஓரு ஜப்பானிய வழிமுறை

சென்னை புத்தகக் கண்காட்சியில் வாங்கிய புத்தகங்களில் நான் முதலில் படிக்க எடுத்தது இந்த புத்தகத்தைத் தான். இந்த புத்தகம் ஜப்பான் நாட்டின் ராக்கேட் வேக வளர்ச்சிக்கு உறுதுணையாய் இருக்கின்ற 5S வழிமுறையின் தொகுப்பு என்று சொல்லியவுடன் இந்த புத்தகத்தை வாங்கி விட்டேன். படிக்க மிக ஆர்வமாய் இருந்தது. இந்த வழிமுறையை இப்போது உலகெங்கும் பயன்படுத்த துவங்கி இருக்கின்றனர் என்பதும், இந்த வழிமுறையை நாம் நம் வீட்டிலும் பயன்படுத்தலாம் என்ற செய்தியும் என் ஆர்வத்தை மேலும் அதிகரித்து.

ஜப்பான் நாட்டினரிடம் மட்டும் அப்படி என்னதான் இருக்கிறது. அவர்களால் மட்டும் எப்படி இவ்வளவு ஆற்றலை வெளிப்படுத்த முடிகிறது. அவர்களும் நம்மைப் போல் மனிதர்கள்தானே என்று நாம் நினைப்பதுண்டு. அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆற்றலை மிகவும் அவசியமானவற்றில் மட்டுமே செலவிடுகின்றனர். சில வேலைகளை தினப்படி செய்வதின் மூலம் அவர்களுடைய ஆற்றல் தேவையில்லாதவற்றில் செலவிட நேர்ந்தால் உடனே அதை திட்டமிட்டு சரி செய்கின்றனர். அந்த தேவையில்லாத வேலைகள் திரும்ப நேராதபடி பார்த்துக் கொள்கின்றனர். இதன் மூலம் தேவையானவற்றில் மட்டும் அவர்களுடய கவனம் செல்கின்றது.

Chennai and Bangalore days....

Bangalore is some how attached to me and it has a major role in my life. After completing my college days, i have started my job seeking here. But i got a job in Noida and then transferred to chennai. I was there in Chennai for the past 5 years. In this course of time, i happen to visit bangalore to see my school friends and for some gettogether. I always fond of staying in Bangalore because of the climate.

Here i would like to share few things and also like to compare the life style in Chennai and Bangalore.

In Chennai, We could get cheap commutation. But it is gradually chaning now by the introduction of airbuses and deluxe buses. I feel there is no difference in these buses except the ticket rate. Here in bangalore, they are not having cheap commutation, but the cost of ticket suits for the facilities and stoppings of the buses. Some times we could find the conductors looting money from passengers with out providing ticket. We could not see such things in Chennai.

Auto-Rickshaw charges are comparitively low in Bangalore. In Chennai, i have faced situations like auto drivers are treating customers inhuman. They used to demand double or triple the rate.

In Bangalore, we could see lot of restaurants in all economical ranges. Earlier chennai was also like that only. But now-a-days it is gradually changing and becoming affordable for two groups. The two groups are High class or Low class. Middleclass people are suffering in Chennai and they need to adopt to any of the two groups. But their economical or health condition do not suit for that.

Bangalore city is trying to avoid traffic by improving its infrastructure. We could see lot of flyovers in main areas and junctions. They have build a 8.3km flyover to electronic city in a span of 18 months. But in chennai they are taking 5 years to build Kathipara Junction even chennai traffic is not dense like Bangalore.

Comparing the house rents in both cities, the ranges are same. We could get 1BHK in the range of Rs.5000 to Rs.6000 (It is very costly). In bangalore, we could get the facilities based on the rent we are giving. In Chennai, even we are ready to give, they will not provide any good facilities.

It feels like i am supporting Bangalore in many ways. But I could conclude that in both cities cost of living is getting higher. In Bangalore atleast we could get back things for the money we are spending. But in Chennai, we cant expect the same.

I feel the main reason behind for all this is dumping all the companies, factories and plants in and around chennai. Thats why the diameter of Chennai is growing and also the cost (Even Dindivanam has become part of Chennai now). Government should take measures to avoid this and they need to develop the infrastructure of other cities in Tamil Nadu. TN Government should also concentrate on the development of cities like Trichy, Coimbatore, Trinelveli and Madurai.

TN government is trying to make Chennai as the automobile hub of India in near future. But, I feel proud to say Tamil Nadu as the Automobile Hub of India instead of Chennai.

LinkedIn – Build your professional Contacts

Earlier i use to receive invitation mails from LinkedIn.com with my friends name. I thought it as a junk/spam mail and use to ignore it by moving to Deleted Items in my outlook. I thought that LinkedIn is a kind of social networking site which is used to kill our precious time. So i didn’t get much interest on visiting the website itself.

Later i was informed from one of my colleague about the actual use of LinkedIn site and LinkedIn profile. He said that LinkedIn is much useful in building your professional contacts and you can have connection with your colleagues, x colleagues and also groups associate with your domain. I was informed about this in the first week of Dec 2009. Now i am using LinkedIn for the past one and half months and I would like to share some information about LinkedIn which i found to be useful.

1. You can create and update a online profile for your profession. I hope with in couple of years online usage will be high comparing to now and you may need to have a online profile which exhibits your expertise in you profession.

2. You can keep in touch with your colleagues and also their job profile. You can track the professional information about your friends and colleagues (Ofcourse if they update their profile regularly)

3. With the available groups you can discuss your doubts with others who are working in your domain and also you can answers the posted questions. It would be helpful for us to update our theoretical knowledge.

4. You can recommend the work of your connections and also you might be recommended by your past colleagues who impressed with your performance. It will give added advantage to your profile.

5. LinkedIn online profile can be used as a background check for your previous companies.

There are lot more other integrated applications are available in LinkedIn which will be helpful to extend your professional network. Applications like Twitter client, Blogger client, Wordpress client, presentation, file upload etc are much useful.

I can’t say that i have fully explored the usages of LinkedIn. Still there are lot of pending usages. I am much interested to explore it.

எங்கள் ஊர் திருவிழா…

எங்கள் ஊர் இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பரமக்குடி. பெருமையா சொல்லிக்கணும்னா திரு. கமல்ஹாசனின் சொந்த ஊர். மதுரையில் கள்ளழகர் வைகை ஆற்றில் இறங்கும் வைபவம் ஆண்டுதோரும் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறுவது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. எங்கள் ஊரும் வைகை ஆற்றுப்படுகையில் இருப்பதாலும், வைகை ஆற்றங்கரையில் பெருமாள் கோவில் இருப்பதாலும் அந்த வைபவம் இங்கும் ஆண்டு தோறும் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறும். மதுரையம்பதி நகரம் ஆகி விட்டதால், சில நடைமுறை சிக்கல்களால் அவர்கள் செய்யாமல் விடும் சுவாரிசியமான சில சம்பிரதாயங்களை எங்கள் ஊர் திருவிழாவில் காண முடியும். அதில் முக்கியமானது, பெருமாள் கோவிலை விட்டு வெளியேரும் காட்சி. அதை சொற்களால் வர்ணிக்க இயலாது. அதனால் அந்த video-வை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்துள்ளேன். கண்டு மகிழுங்கள்… ஆடி வரார், ஓடி வரார், அழகழகாய் நடந்து வரார்…

Chennai 33rd book fair

Chennai’s 33rd book fair started on December 30th,2009. I went with my friends on Dec 31st evening. Even it is 33rd one, it is first time for me to see such a huge book fair. There are about 600 book stalls comprises more than one crore books. All books in one place.

I have not planned the list of books that are need to buy. Instead of that i roamed all the famous publications stalls there. I checked out for some thriller and fiction novels, books related to history, personality development books and lot more. Since i took much time in roaming all the stalls i could not spend sufficient time in checking good books. So i have planned to go this weekend.

Regarding the facilities, there is a wide area for parking our two wheelers and cars. For entertainment, they are arranging for entertaining events in the evening. There is a book fair office where you can get the details about the shop numbers of the famous Book sellers and publications. Coffee, tea and soups are available in separate stalls. More over there is a huge cafeteria arranged by them have stalls from Krishna sweets and some other famous restaurants.

I found lot of readers come there with their family. It may help to get your family some interest on reading books. It is a good place to have a visit. Parents can encourage the reading habit of their kids by bringing them to book fair and assist them to buy good books.

Today my friend referred this short movie in his blog. It was directed and acted by his friends. As said by him they have spent Rs.12000 to complete this movie. The movie is based on a simple theme. But it is directed very nicely and simply great. I would like to share this movie with you all.

Avatar – Different Experience

I was eagerly waiting to watch the movie Avatar in 3D. Due to continuous holidays like Christmas and New year, I could not get a single ticket for Avatar 3D movie show in Chennai theatres. Fortunately i got a ticket from my friend and went to the movie yesterday. It is really worth to spend Rs.145 (Rs.120 + Rs.20 3D Glasses) to watch such a wonderful movie. Hats off to the avatar team who worked hard to bring out a best movie with unimaginable Graphics and Animations.

Instead of mentioning it as a movie, we can say it as a Journey to Pandora Planet. Yes every one will think like that when watching the movie for the first time. While watching the movie, I cant believe my eyes and pinched myself to make sure it is real. 3D Animation experience is really awesome. Especially the scenes like Jack’s first visit to the forest and the chasing. New type of Helicopters, Computer systems, Floating mountains, Army Rangers, their military weapons etc.., everything is astonishing. It is incomparable that how their brain have come up with such innovative ideas.

They have also mentioned the importance of Trees and forest (Go Green). Strongly supporting the fact of human being can’t exist with out nature. In Avatar, human being from earth plays the role of villain. With the realistic animations, movie director succeeded in making us to feel like one of the them, the Navi – Humanoid in Pandora. And at last stage of the movie we were watching with the thinking of opposing our own race (human being) to save Pandora and Navi (Here i mentioned we, since i believe that all the fans have experienced the same way).

In our school days we did not like to miss the things like exhibition, circus in our town. We might feel odd if we missed any one of them and make ourselves ready for the next year chance. This movie is like that only, We need to watch in 3D. If we miss it, don't worry James Cameron is already planning for the sequel of Avatar. So we will have one more chance.

I got a doubt from this movie. Doubts usually arises like a spark. Of course, this doubt also aroused from a spark. As per the movie, Human from earth can’t breathe in Pandora due to unavailability of oxygen. In Jack’s first visit to Pandora, he missed his way in the forest and light fire using his match stick. If Oxygen doesn’t exist, is it possible for the fire to glow with out oxygen ? If any of you know about this in detail, please share your answers.
